Hi, I'm Laetitia, I'm a first-time Mum to my beautiful daughter, Lola. First of all, thank you for stopping by! The Well Mama Collective is something I'm incredibly passionate about, and I truly hope you love it.
Why The Well Mama Collective?
After working for over 15 years in the community sector, supporting children, young people, and families, I felt a strong calling to do more for new Mamas and their babies. My journey into motherhood gave me a fresh perspective and inspired me to create a space where new Mamas could find support and connection. Over the years, I’ve worked hard to build my qualifications, becoming a certified trainer in parenting and behaviour strategies, specialising in attachment and development, and completing several degrees to deepen my knowledge. All of this, combined with my love for connecting people, led me to create The Well Mama Collective.
During my pregnancy, I connected with other expectant mothers, and those friendships became a lifeline once Lola was born. We shared messages, met up, and supported each other—helping our babies form bonds while also making sure we felt connected as new Mamas. This sense of community made my own journey so much richer, and I wanted to create something that could bring this sense of connection to other mothers.
Since Lola’s birth, I’ve attended many playgroups, sensory classes, and rhyme times, but I often felt something was missing. While the activities were great for my baby’s development, I didn’t feel there was enough time for the Mamas to connect with each other. I love taking Lola to these events, but I believe there needs to be more space for meaningful social connections among Mamas, too.
Through conversations with my Mama group, we’ve shared how invaluable our connections have been for our mental health and how it’s made outings with our little ones easier. With so many positive stories from other Mamas, I felt inspired to recreate this sense of community for other families in my area. My passion for bringing people together, along with my knowledge of child development, made it clear that this was something our community needed.
That’s why I’m combining my skills, experience, and love for motherhood to create a safe and nurturing space where mamas and babies can build their village together. My program is rooted in research and theories that emphasise the importance of Mama connections and mental health, while also offering sensory activities to support your baby’s development during their first year of life. I’ve already piloted some of these activities with my Mama group, and the feedback has been amazing—with plenty of happy babies in the mix!
I’m so excited to welcome you to The Well Mama Collective. I hope this space provides the support and connection you're looking for on your journey as a new Mama. Thank you again for visiting, and I can’t wait to share this experience with you!
Hello Everyone!
I’m Ashleigh, and I am beyond excited to join the Well Mama Collective! If, like me, you’re a first-time mum, you know how overwhelming it can be to navigate this journey on your own. Having a group of supportive mamas around me has been and game-changer and I want you to know that I’m here to help you build your village, not just for your little one, but for YOU too!
A little about me:
I’m a first time mum and primary school teacher. I have been teaching for 10 years both in Australia and overseas, which is how I met my husband! We got married in England between COVID lockdowns and then moved back to Australia to settle down before having our baby girl, Juniper.
As a mum and educator, I understand the highs, the lows, and everything in between. I’m passionate about creating a space where you and your child can grow together, make meaningful connections, and feel supported. My goal is to provide a welcoming, stress-free environment where both adults and kids can learn, share, and have fun!
I strongly relate to the research that not only suggests play is essential for a child’s development, but also that forming a community is just as important for parents and caregivers, especially in the early stages. To me, the Well Mama Collective isn’t just about activities for your little one – it’s about building lasting friendships with other people who are going through the same stages of life.
Away from the Well Mama Collective, you’ll likely find me practising my baby sign language or enjoying time outside, and I’m always happy to chat with other mums about anything from parenting tips to self-care ideas.
I can’t wait to welcome you and your little one to our group – it’s going to be a wonderful opportunity to laugh, connect, and build a supportive village together!
Looking forward to meeting you soon,
Ashleigh
